Richard Long
Winter Circle 1984 - Cornish slate
Private Sales at Christie's
Used to spend many happy summers in Cornwall surrounded by
this gorgeous slate - beautiful multi layers and jewel like chinks through it.

Dan Flavin - untitled (to Ellen aware, my surprise) 1975
pink, blue and green fluorescent light square across a corner.

Just the use of coloured strip lights to completely alter the space - different perspective, another dimension and changing the whole sense and feel of that space.

Gerhard Richter
 Abstraktes Bild 1997

Great sense of movement - shadowy glimpses, like looking through a condensation covered train window.

Continuing with clothes pegs - introducing other
materials.  Making cube forms with card and pegs,
one suspended above the other.
Possibly series of these in rows - some face on, some
side on, some just cube framework allowing
different views through the cubes.
Incorporate different surfaces inside the cubes-
maps, foil, photos, old wallpaper etc to alter
perspective of view through.

View through one cube - framing the view, giving a different sense.

Showing cube lined with different materials-
one lined with pieces of a map, one with foil, to alter
framework of the view through and give a different
sense to that view.
